The Application (theapplication.app, thegrad.app, and theundergrad.app) is operated by The Application LLC, a Colorado limited liability company (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
Waitlist. If you join our pre-launch waitlist, we collect the email address you submit.
Account. When you create an account, we collect your email address through Google sign-in.
Application data. As you use the app, we store the data you enter — schools, deadlines, essays, requirements, profile details, and any advisor names or notes you add.
How we use your information
We use your data to provide the service: storing your applications, showing your dashboard, and sending deadline reminders you opt into.
If you joined the waitlist or otherwise opted in, we email you launch news and product updates. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run the app: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Google (sign-in), Resend (deadline-reminder emails), Kit (waitlist and newsletter emails), and Stripe (payment processing for paid features). When you use an AI feature — such as program import or a fit check — the relevant data you are working with is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate the result. We do not sell your data.
Your data
Your application data is private to your account. You can edit or delete it at any time, request deletion of your account and associated data, and unsubscribe from our emails whenever you like.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
